Arrr! The scallywag Adams be free o' the misdemeanor assault charge! 'Twere all 'cause of an incident at Arrowhead Stadium in October 2022. Yarrr, me hearties, let's make a toast to the lad's good fortune!
Arrrrrr, me hearties! Davante Adams, a wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, won't be facing charges for shoving a photographer after a game against the Kansas City Chiefs in October 2022. The prosecutor dismissed the misdemeanor assault charge on June 5th. The incident happened when Adams was walking toward the locker room after the game and pushed the freelance photographer, who suffered whiplash, headache, and a possible concussion. Adams apologized to the individual on Twitter and in his press conference following the game. He expressed frustration mixed with the photographer running in front of him, but acknowledged he shouldn't have responded that way. Adams had 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns during the 2022 NFL season and was named to his third consecutive All-Pro team. Las Vegas has made changes after a 6-11 season, moving on from quarterback Derek Carr and bringing in veteran QB Jimmy Garoppolo. However, a civil case is still pending. The photographer is suing Adams for allegedly pushing him. Adams' attorney has not commented on the matter. The Kansas City Municipal Division confirmed the case dismissal, and The Kansas City Star was the first to report the news. Arrr, that be the latest on this salty matter!
