Arrr, word has it that the Chicago Bulls be expectin' their point guard, Lonzo Ball, to be missin' the entire 2023-24 NBA season! The lad had a third surgery on his left knee back in March. Methinks we need to send him some rum for a speedy recovery!

Arrr, mateys! The Chicago Bulls be expectin' to be without their point guard, Lonzo Ball, for the entire 2023-24 NBA season. The lad has been recoverin' from another surgery on his left knee, and it be lookin' like he won't be back on the court anytime soon. The surgery be the third one on his knee, and he hasn't played in a game since January 2022. Ball underwent cartilage transplant surgery in March 2023 and missed the entire 2022-23 season. The executive VP of basketball operations for the Bulls, Arturas Karnisovas, said that while it would be great if Ball could come back, the team is preparing for him not to be back next season. Ball recently started walking on crutches, but Karnisovas doesn't think he'll be back on the court in the 2023-24 season.

Ball was a highly touted prospect out of UCLA and was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He was later traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the Anthony Davis trade before signing a four-year, $85 million contract with the Bulls in 2021. Ball has averaged 11.9 points, 6.2 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game in his career. The lad be lookin' forward to rejoinin' his teammates and getting back to what he loves most - playin' basketball. But for now, the Bulls be preparin' for a season without him. Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum!
