Arrr, me hearties! John Sykes, that scallywag of a guitarist, met his end at 65 from a sneaky cancer. He strummed for Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake afore settin' sail with Blue Murder, alongside Tony Franklin and the drumm'r Carmine Appice. Aye, a fine crew he had!

Arrr, gather 'round me hearties! Bad tidings have washed ashore, fer we be mournin' the loss of the legendary John Sykes, the six-string swashbuckler known fer his work with Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake! At the age of 65, he succumbed to the foul beast that be cancer, as announced on the scrolls of his social media. Aye, he was a talented lad, but beyond the music, he was a kinder soul who lit up the darkest taverns with his charisma!

From the start of his journey with The Tygers of Pan Tang in the year of our Lord 1980, he sailed into the world of rock 'n' roll, joinin' Thin Lizzy during their swan song and givin' us albums full of thunder! Then he hoisted his sails with Whitesnake, co-writin’ classics like "Still of the Night." Alas, the winds of fate cast him adrift from the crew before the ship set sail with the album.

But fear not! Sykes formed a mighty crew with Blue Murder, makin' waves and melodies that still echo through the seven seas. His mateys like David Coverdale and Carmine Appice be payin’ tribute, reminiscin' on the grand times shared. Aye, he’ll be missed, but his tunes shall live on, forever echoing in the hearts of landlubbers and sea dogs alike!
