Arrr, me hearties! Avast ye! The Houston Texans, me mateys, be plagued wit' many a disappointin' season. But fear not, for the winds be changin'! In the year 2023, a new hope sets sail – a rookie QB named C.J. Stroud be joinin' our crew! Yo ho ho, optimism be on the horizon!
The Houston Texans have been struggling in recent years, but they have made some significant changes in the offseason to try and turn things around. DeMeco Ryans was named the head coach in January, and they drafted quarterback C.J. Stroud from Ohio State in April. Offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil has noticed a positive difference in the team's atmosphere, saying it's a "whole new vibe." The Texans also executed an ambitious offseason plan by drafting Will Anderson Jr. and securing the No. 3 overall pick. Tunsil credits Ryans' energy for helping the team get out of a rut. He says that the new coach, new coaches, and new players have brought a fresh vibe to the building, and it feels great to be there. Although training camp is still a couple of weeks away, Tunsil is already impressed with what he has seen from Stroud, saying he handles himself well and has shown great leadership skills. Tunsil describes Stroud as a "dawg" who comes ready to work and performs well on the field. The Texans had a difficult season last year, winning only three games and finishing last in their division. However, Tunsil has been a standout player since joining the team in 2019, earning three Pro Bowl honors. The Texans will kick off the 2023 season with a game against the Baltimore Ravens on September 10th.
