Arr, ye scurvy dogs! Methinks ye may find travel-centric additions arrivin' on Google Bard afore ye reckon.
Google Bard, a chatbot developed by Google, has finally gained momentum and caught up with other chatbots like ChatGPT and Microsoft's Bing Chat. Since its launch, Bard has introduced several new features, including image-generation capabilities, maps integration, and better logical understanding. Now, it seems that extensions may soon be added to Bard, which could be the final push it needs to surpass ChatGPT.During Google I/O 2023, Google mentioned the development of extension support for Bard. While the company has delivered on many features, there haven't been any updates on extension support. However, an early preview of the extensions within the Bard web app has been uncovered by Dylan Roussel from 9to5google. Although the UI is available, the extensions themselves do not seem to be functional yet.

The extensions discovered in the preview include Google Flights, Hotels, Maps, Youtube, and Zillow. This selection of services suggests that Google may position Bard as a planning assistant, particularly for travel planning. This strategy could help integrate Bard into everyday activities and encourage more people to engage with the chatbot and its new extensions.
Ultimately, the addition of these extensions will bring Bard up to par with ChatGPT and give the chatbot an advantage in the race for AI supremacy. Google Bard is making progress and may soon become a formidable contender in the chatbot landscape.
