Arrr, Bard's latest addition be a blessin'! Finally, a haven to blabber 'bout me feline portrayals 'n' not bein' plagued by monotony, mateys!
Google Bard has been receiving multiple updates recently, with the latest one introducing Google Lens integration. This new feature allows users to upload images alongside their prompts, giving Bard additional context. Google is clearly focused on expanding Bard's capabilities and pushing it further into the realm of artificial intelligence, whether by integrating it with other Google products or improving the standalone chatbot. The integration of Google Lens allows users to upload images, identify objects and scenes, provide image descriptions, and search the web for related pictures. For example, I asked Bard to show me a photo of a kitten on a scratching post, and it accurately pulled up the requested image along with some information about cats and scratching posts. I also tested it with a photo from my phone gallery, and Bard accurately described the scene and provided interesting tidbits about rainbows.
Bard's responses vary depending on the context provided with the image. To get the best results, it is recommended to provide as much context as possible and refine the responses with additional prompts. To try out Bard's new image capabilities, users can simply click on the icon on the left side of the text box and add any desired photo to the conversation.
In addition to the image update, Bard now allows users to pin conversation threads, read responses out loud in over 40 languages, and access easier sharing methods. For more information on all the new additions, users can visit the Bard update page.
