Avast, me hearties! The M3 chips from Apple be longingly awaited, aye! Though ye may not lay yer eyes on a new Mac Mini or MacBook Pro, fear not, for our bellies shall still be filled with joyous bounty!
The next generation of Apple Silicon chips, known as the M3 chips, are expected to arrive in the coming months. However, not all Mac products will immediately benefit from this upgrade. The debut of the M3-powered Mac lineup is anticipated by October of this year. This may include a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a 13-inch MacBook Air, and a 24-inch iMac. Additionally, high-end MacBook Pro and Mac Mini machines are expected to be powered by the M3 chip, but these may not be released until 2024.Gizochina cites Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who confirms that an M3 version of the Mac Mini will eventually be released, but not until late 2024. While it is exciting to see Apple introducing a more powerful chip, especially in the 24-inch iMac, the M1 iMac continues to be popular and a boosted chip could generate even more excitement for Apple products.
The Mac Mini is also eagerly anticipated to receive a performance boost with the release of the M3 version. The current M2 model received a rare five-star rating in reviews, and the M3 chip is expected to offer even greater performance improvements compared to the M1-M2 transition. Despite not being included in the first wave of M3 products, many are still looking forward to its release.
