2023-07-25

Hoist the anchor, ye scurvy dogs! Prepare ye selves fer a grand voyage if ye still be employin' the Windows Mail and Calendar apps. Avast! A great change be comin'!

Arr, me hearties! Microsoft be makin' some changes to the Outlook app for all ye Windows 10 and Windows 11 users. They be sayin' that the trusty ol' Mail and Calendar applications will be walkin' the plank, swallowed up by Outlook to make things simpler for ye. No more switchin' between apps, mateys!
If ye be wantin' to give the new Outlook a go, ye can find it in the top-right corner of the Windows Mail app. Ahoy! And fear not, me lads and lasses, for ye can import all yer settings from the Mail app directly into Outlook, so the transition should be as smooth as sailin' on calm waters.
According to Windows Latest, Microsoft be sendin' a secret message to their business users, revealin' that a mandatory migration process be happenin' later this year. From August 2023, ye'll be automatically switched to Outlook, but ye can choose to stick with yer old apps for a while by turnin' off a toggle.
But mark me words, me mateys, Microsoft be plannin' to have Outlook installed on all Windows 11 devices from next year. If ye really be attached to yer Mail and Calendar, ye can still download 'em from the Microsoft Store until the end of 2024. After that, well, ye can kiss 'em goodbye.
This be a sign, me hearties, that Microsoft be aimin' to make things simpler for us all. They be wantin' to bundle all their tools into one, makin' the user experience smoother than a mermaid's tail. Could this be a glimpse of what be awaitin' us in the legendary Windows 12? Only time will tell, me mateys. Yo ho ho!
