Arr, the fearsome Jalen Ramsey, a star of the Miami Dolphins, be set to miss the beginning of the 2023 regular season! Aye, his knee be needin' some mends through surgery, for a wound he acquired whilst practicin' on a Thursday!

In a devastating blow to the Miami Dolphins, their new cornerback Jalen Ramsey will not be able to start the regular season due to a knee injury. ESPN reported that Ramsey will undergo surgery after suffering an injury during training camp. While his ACL is intact, his meniscus requires surgery, according to the NFL Network. Fortunately, it appears that Ramsey will not miss the entire season, as a more severe injury could have resulted in that outcome.
The injury occurred when Ramsey collided with Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill during a training camp session. Hill was able to quickly get up from the collision, but Ramsey remained on the ground and had to be carted off the field. The initial test results were not promising, leading to the recommendation for surgery.
Ramsey, a six-time Pro Bowl cornerback, was acquired by the Dolphins via trade from the Los Angeles Rams during the offseason. His addition was expected to strengthen an already impressive secondary, with Ramsey to be paired with Xavien Howard. However, the Dolphins will now have to rely on Keion Crossen or second-round pick Cam Smith to fill in for Ramsey until his return. The timeline for his recovery is still unknown.
Despite this setback, Ramsey remains one of the best cornerbacks in the game. Last season with the Rams, he recorded impressive stats, including four interceptions, 88 combined tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and 18 passes defended. The Dolphins will undoubtedly eagerly await his return to the field.
