Avast, me hearties! Be ye hearing the scuttlebutt 'bout the steep rise in graphics card prices? Methinks there be a fair share o' this nonsense floatin' around lately, makin' us pirates none too pleased, arrr!

Graphics card prices are experiencing some fluctuation, with certain models seeing price increases while others are dropping in price. According to Tom's Hardware, AMD Radeon products such as the RX 7900 XTX have gone up by 4.4% in just a month. The RX 7600 has also increased slightly by 1.2%, but the RX 7900 XT has dropped by 2.6%. Some older AMD graphics cards like the RX 6600 XT and RX 6600 have seen significant price increases of 10.2% and 11.1% respectively.
Nvidia's current-gen Lovelace GPUs have mostly seen small decreases in price, ranging from 1% to 2%. However, the RTX 4060 has experienced a larger drop of 6.7%, while the RTX 4080 has risen by 10% in the past month. The RTX 3000 graphics cards are mostly falling in price, with the RTX 3080 Ti seeing the largest increase of 14.2%.
Intel's Arc GPUs, on the other hand, have seen considerable price decreases, with the A770 dropping by 13.2%.
These findings align with recent reports of increased retail sales and rising prices for older graphics cards. It is speculated that GPU demand is starting to increase, and prices are expected to continue rising. Additionally, rumors of Nvidia halting Lovelace production and focusing on AI boards could contribute to further price increases.
While the current market trend is concerning for gamers, there may still be opportunities to find GPUs at lower prices in the near future. However, the overall outlook suggests that prices will continue to rise, making it more challenging for gamers to purchase graphics cards.
