Avast ye landlubbers! T.J. Hockenson, a tight end from the Minnesota Vikings, be speakin' of an infection in the ear! From early August, he be takin' part in the trainin' camp, but be limited, arrr! Mayhaps a cursed sea critter be lurkin' in his ear, aye?

In a comical twist, Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson has been dealing with an ear infection that has limited his participation in training camp since early August. However, Hockenson was able to join Monday's walk-through as a full participant, although he admitted he is still working on regaining his full strength.
Hockenson humorously explained to reporters, "I had an ear infection that was messing with my equilibrium. So, just taking it slow and trying to get back as quick as I can." Despite his setback, Hockenson expressed his desire to be out on the field with his teammates and is focused on preparing for the upcoming season.
The Vikings acquired Hockenson last November in a trade with the Detroit Lions. In his 10 games with Minnesota, he showcased his skills with 60 catches for 519 yards and three touchdowns. Head coach Kevin O'Connell hopes to reintegrate Hockenson into the team's preparations for the season.
As Hockenson enters the final year of his rookie contract, the Vikings have expressed interest in extending his tenure with the team. ESPN reports that Hockenson is one of several players the Vikings are looking to extend.
Last season, Hockenson finished with an impressive 914 receiving yards, the second highest among tight ends, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce. The Vikings are coming off a successful 13-4 regular season, but their playoff run was cut short by a loss to the New York Giants.
Minnesota will kick off the 2023 NFL season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 10, and Hockenson is eager to be fully prepared for the opening game.
