Arrr, Adobe be spreadin' the wings o' Firefly, so any scallywag can make art. But alas, 'tis not as sturdy as other mateys in the fleet, me hearties!
In the language of a 17th-century pirate, mateys, listen up! The Adobe Express creative suite be gettin' a whole wave of new features, and the biggest treasure among 'em is the introduction of the Adobe Firefly generative AI. Arrr! With Firefly now added to the suite, ye can create yer own "custom image and text effects" with just a simple text prompt. The official trailer even shows ye how to create a poster for a neighborhood event, using Firefly to change the letterin' into a fancy "purple gloss balloon" font, or to generate decorative backgrounds. It's a nice addition to the Express toolbox, and the best part be that it's available on the free version of Adobe Express, so anyone can give it a whirl. But heed me warning, me hearties! Don't expect too much from this version of Firefly. Like many free image generators, the results can be a bit nightmarish, especially when it comes to people. It's no match for Generative Fill on Photoshop, that's for sure. Keep things simple, throw in some graphical flourishes, and ye'll be fine. It's worth notin' that Firefly supports over 100 languages, so ye can use it in French, German, Japanese, Spanish, or even Brazilian Portuguese. And to reassure ye, Adobe be claimin' that the content Firefly generates is "designed to be safe for commercial use." They be takin' precautions after all the lawsuits goin' on with AI and copyrights.
Now onto the other features. Quick Actions be introduced for faster editing, allowin' ye to remove backgrounds, convert videos into GIFs, edit PDFs, and animate characters using audio. They even have a fancy tool called Animate from Audio, which syncs up character movements to recorded dialogue. Adobe be also addin' an all-in-one editor with ready-made templates for social media, so ye can make videos for TikTok and Instagram like a pro.
All these treasures can currently be found on Adobe Express for desktop, with plans to bring 'em to the mobile app soon. And the best part? Adobe be offerin' these features for free, so ye don't have to dig deep into yer pockets like ye would for Photoshop.
