Arr, me hearties! Methinks there be a way o' lookin' at political matters that me conservative self be loathin'. We shall dub it the "ye can't be havin' too much o' a fine booty" falsehood. Near enough every fancy idea in American life be havin' supporters o' this falsehood. Ye've surely heard someone blabberin': "The only pillage for the ills o' free speech be more speech!" Or: "Ye can never be havin' too much inclusion or diversity, arr!" Takin' a broad view, I be takin' the opposin' stance on almost all such matters...

In the language of a 17th-century pirate, mateys, there be a certain way o' thinkin' 'bout politics that I just can't stand. Arrr, let's call it the "ye can't be havin' too much o' a good thing" fallacy, savvy?
Arrr, nearly all popular notions in American life have their own scallywags cheerin' for this fallacy. Ye must 'ave heard someone say somethin' like: "The only cure fer the problems with free speech be more speech, arrr!" Or: "Ye can never be havin' too much o' inclusion or diversity, me hearties!"
Now, me heart be differin' on most o' these matters, ye see. I be takin' the opposin' point o' view on almost all o' these notions. Arrr, sometimes ye just can't be havin' too much o' a good thing, me mateys!
Ye see, there be a danger in this thinkin', me hearties. Aye, sometimes more speech can just mean more noise and confusion. And more inclusion and diversity might just lead to chaos and division, savvy?
Arrr, let me set ye straight, me landlubbers. The key be findin' the right balance, the sweet spot where ye be havin' just enough o' a good thing, but not so much that it be overwhelm' or detrimental to the ship's crew.
So, me mateys, next time ye come across one o' them scallywags preachin' the "ye can't be havin' too much o' a good thing" fallacy, ye be rememberin' that sometimes moderation be the true treasure, arrr!
