Arr, me mateys, the mighty Core i7-14700K be trouncin' its scurvy predecessor, even whilst sportin' a mere sample version o' the CPU! Aye, this be a powerful beast, settin' sail on the high seas o' performance, shiverin' our timbers with its might!
Intel's Core i7-14700K processor, a key component of the upcoming Raptor Lake Refresh, has been leaked along with benchmark results. The leak, shared on a Chinese forum called Bilibili, includes an image of the purported engineering sample of the 14700K, lending more credibility to the leak. The benchmarks reveal that the 14700K outperforms the 13700K in multi-core performance by 17% in Cinebench R23 and 15% in 3DMark CPU Profile Max and CPU-Z. Gaming benchmarks also show slight improvements, with Counter-Strike: GO being 6% faster on the 14700K.These benchmarks are already impressive considering that the sample CPU is not the final version and still needs fine-tuning. The fully finished 14700K is expected to have a boost clock speed of 5.6GHz, 200MHz faster than the 13700K. While Raptor Lake Refresh is just a refresh of current-gen CPUs, the 14700K is showing promise to be one of the best processors in its lineup. It is rumored to be the only chip in the 14th-gen lineup with an increased core configuration, which explains its strong multi-core performance. The 14600K also looks promising in the mid-range segment.
If the rumors are correct, the Raptor Lake Refresh processors will be launched in October. Overall, Intel seems to be delivering a solid upgrade with the 14700K, providing noticeable performance improvements over its predecessor.
