2023-09-04

Arr, mateys! 'Tis said that Aaron Rodgers, the swashbucklin' quarterback o' the New York Jets, did sing praises fer Novak Djokovic's wise choice to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Aye, he also did take a wee jab at them scurvy dogs in Big Pharma, all in his Instagram tales. Ahoy!

In a humorous tone and language reminiscent of a 17th-century pirate, it is reported that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers attended the US Open with his fellow teammates C.J. Uzomah and Randall Cobb. This is just one of the many sporting events Rodgers has attended since joining the Jets in April. The four-time MVP had the opportunity to watch one of the all-time tennis greats, Novak Djokovic, play at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Rodgers even took to Instagram to share a photo of Djokovic preparing to serve against Borna Goja, adding that watching Djokovic in person was on his "bucket list." Djokovic's participation in the US Open this year is significant as he was barred from entering the United States for last year's tournament due to his vaccination status. However, the US lifted its COVID-19 vaccination requirement for international travelers on May 11, allowing Djokovic to participate this year. Djokovic himself expressed no resentment over what happened last year, stating that he is solely focused on this year's tournament. It is worth noting that Rodgers himself has been in the headlines regarding his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine. In the past, he had told reporters that he was "immunized" against COVID, but later revealed that he was unvaccinated after testing positive for the virus in November 2021. Rodgers apologized for any misleading comments he made and is now preparing for his first regular season game with the Jets. The Jets will face the Buffalo Bills on September 11, and as of now, there has been no comment from Rodgers or his representation on the matter.
