Avast, me hearties! Shedeur Sanders and the scurvy dogs of the Colorado Buffaloes be needin' to dig deep, but by Davy Jones' locker! They somehow snatched the victory from the clutches of the Colorado State scallywags, steerin' clear of a monstrous upset. Ahoy, what a tale of triumph it be!

The Colorado Buffaloes managed to secure a hard-fought victory against their in-state rivals, the Colorado State Rams, thanks to the impressive performance of Shedeur Sanders. Sanders orchestrated a comeback from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter and delivered two touchdown passes in the overtimes, leading the Buffaloes to a 43-35 win in Boulder.
In order to even force overtime, Colorado had to mount a late rally. Down eight points, Sanders led the No. 18 Buffaloes on a 98-yard touchdown drive, connecting with wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. for a touchdown and finding Michael Harrison for the 2-point conversion. Sanders continued to shine in overtime, adding two more touchdown passes while the defense successfully stopped Colorado State on their final drive.
Colorado coach Deion Sanders attributed the team's resilience to their success, stating, "To be great you have to be resilient."
The game started with a touchdown from Shilo Sanders, Shedeur's brother, who returned a pass 80 yards for a score. However, the Rams quickly took the lead with two touchdowns of their own, stunningly putting them ahead 14-7 in the first quarter.
Tensions escalated throughout the game, particularly when Shedeur Sanders targeted Travis Hunter with a long pass and Rams defensive back Henry Blackburn delivered a late hit on the Heisman Trophy contender. Hunter suffered an injury and had to leave the game for evaluation at a hospital.
Despite the Rams' resilient efforts, the Buffaloes managed to cut the deficit and eventually secure the win. Shedeur Sanders finished the game with impressive stats, completing 38-of-47 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns. Xavier Weaver, Michael Harrison, and Jimmy Horn Jr. were among the key receivers who made significant contributions to the victory.
With the win, Colorado improved to 3-0 while Colorado State dropped to 0-2 in their season record.
