If he'd been found guilty, he'd have been tossed from his post and banned from holdin' any public office in Texas. After a long eight-hour secret powwow, 30 senators, 19 of 'em bein' Republicans, made their decision.
Arr, if Paxton be found guilty on any of them counts, he would have been promptly removed from his esteemed office, and then forced to face yet another vote to permanently banish him from the realm of public office here in Texas.
