Arr, me hearties! Take heed, forsooth! The cursed Anti-Lag+ tool o' AMD Radeon, meant to add zest to yer gameplay, might instead bring ye misfortune and a swift ban from the likes o' online shootin' matches, aye! Beware, me mateys!
If ye be a scurvy dog in the online shooter scene and be sportin' an AMD Radeon graphics card, ye might want to walk the plank and turn off the AMD Anti-Lag+ feature exclusive to the Radeon RX 7000-series graphics card. Arrr, the results could be devastatin'!According to AMD, Anti-Lag+ be supposed to be a fancy feature that be alignin' frames within the game code itself, leadin' to lower latency and a grand gamblin' experience. But it seems that havin' it enabled on the best AMD graphic cards will land ye in Davy Jones' locker with an automatic ban in competitive shooters like Counter-Strike 2, Call of Duty, and Apex Legends. Aye, even the developers themselves warned the scallywags to disable the feature before settin' sail.
TechRadar reached out to AMD for a comment, but we'll have to wait for their response.
Now, why be this happenin' ye may ask? It seems that this Anti-Lag+ feature be messin' with the game engine's functions, makin' it look like a cheat program to the game. It be takin' information from the engine and the display adapter and replacin' or injectin' functions, like wiretappin' a phone call and usin' that information to create an aimbot. Blimey! It be causin' not only bans but also performance issues in other games like Fortnite and Overwatch 2.
Thankfully, ye can disable this treacherous feature by pressin' ALT + L and customize the hotkey in AMD Radeon Software. But don't ye worry, matey, as it only be available in some games through the Adrenaline Edition version 23.30.1 driver, so ye won't be affectin' every game ye play.
But ye see, AMD be strugglin' in the high seas of graphics technology. They be releasin' new tools like the ability to measure system lag, but with all these issues with Anti-Lag+ and the fact that it don't even work with most of the best PC games, they be havin' a long way to go to catch up with Nvidia.
So, me hearties, be careful with this Anti-Lag+ feature, or ye might find yerself locked in Davey Jones' brig!
