Avast ye, me hearties! Two more scurvy knaves be nabbed, accused o' the foul deeds that sent a Philadelphia officer to Davy Jones' locker, while another was left wounded. Justice be sailin' her course, arr!

Last week, a Philadelphia police officer was tragically killed in a shooting as he arrived for work at the Philadelphia International Airport. Two more individuals have now been arrested in connection with this incident, adding to the previous arrest made on Monday. Alexander Batista-Polanco and Hendrick Pena-Fernandez, both from New Jersey, were taken into custody on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Interim Police Commissioner John Stanford expressed his satisfaction with the arrests, stating, "I said that we would get you, and we did just that." The three suspects are believed to have been involved in the killing of Officer Richard Mendez and the injuring of Officer Raul Ortiz. Another suspect, Jesús Hernán Madera Durán, died shortly after Mendez was shot. Both Batista-Polanco and Martinez-Fernandez are facing numerous charges, including murder, attempted criminal homicide of a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer, and robbery. Pena-Fernandez's charges have yet to be announced. The incident occurred when Mendez and Ortiz arrived at an airport parking garage and heard the sound of glass breaking. They approached the scene and witnessed a vehicle break-in, only to be shot by one of the suspects as they attempted to apprehend another individual. No weapon has been recovered, and authorities do not believe the officers fired their own weapons. The Philadelphia community is mourning the loss of Officer Mendez and supporting Officer Ortiz during his recovery. The arrests of these suspects provide some hope for justice being served in this tragic event. Further updates on the case are yet to be announced, and investigators continue their diligent work to uncover all the details surrounding this crime.
