Arrr! A scurvy dog from Memphis, bein' accused o' a deadly shootin' spree, be found dead in his escape vessel, says the law!

A Tennessee man accused of killing several women and girls in Memphis was found dead after a manhunt. Mavis Christian Jr., 52, was discovered with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside his getaway vehicle, a white Chevrolet Malibu. He allegedly shot five female victims in three different locations, resulting in four deaths and one person in critical condition. Police credited the collaboration between law enforcement, the community, and the media for quickly locating the suspect, although at the cost of additional lives.
The first shooting occurred on Field Lark Drive, where two girls and a woman were found with gunshot wounds. Two of them died at the scene, while the other girl was in critical condition. A woman with a gunshot wound was later found on Warrington Road and pronounced dead. Another woman was discovered with a gunshot wound on Howard Drive and also pronounced dead.
Authorities determined that all three shootings were connected and identified Christian Jr. as the suspect. They described the incidents as stemming from a domestic violence situation, with Christian Jr. being a known relative of the victims. A comprehensive manhunt involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies was conducted to apprehend the armed and dangerous suspect.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted, and police expressed gratitude to all agencies involved for their cooperation and assistance.
