The incident occurred in the small village of Salki, where Thakor was playing with his friends. One of the notorious monkeys attacked the boy, digging its claws into him and ripping out his intestines. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Thakor could not be saved. This marks the third attack by monkeys in the village within a week.Local officials report that the monkeys responsible for these attacks are still on the loose. Efforts have been made by forest officials to capture the "large troop" of monkeys, and a few have been successfully caught. However, the search continues, as there are still four adult monkeys involved in the attacks. The villagers remain at risk until these monkeys are captured and contained.

The police conducted a lengthy search and were able to locate the child and reunite him with his parents.
