A California man, Louis Peter Hernandez, is facing multiple murder charges after allegedly going on a shooting rampage that resulted in the deaths of his current and former girlfriends. The incident occurred in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Hernandez, a convicted felon on probation and post-release community supervision, first entered a home in Fontana on November 25th, where he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and another person. He then traveled to Riverside County and shot and killed his ex-girlfriend. There is also an ongoing investigation into a fourth gunshot victim who was involved in an altercation with Hernandez and is now recovering in the hospital. Hernandez, a known gang member with a violent criminal history, has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of assault with a firearm. Additional charges are pending regarding the fourth victim. The authorities have also filed special allegations for prior felonies and special circumstances, indicating that this could potentially become a capital murder case.
