Arr, ye scurvy dog! A true captain of this mighty land should be guardin' the shores and defendin' the rights of our fine people. But alas, this President Biden be missin' from duty when it comes to safeguardin' our borders. Avast, where be his sense o' responsibility?
President Biden's open border policy is seen as a danger to America. It is believed that a U.S. president's main responsibility is to protect the citizens and the Constitution, and Biden is failing to do so with his approach to border security. Since Biden took office, approximately 9.5 million migrants have entered the country illegally, with only 3 million being returned. This leaves over 6 million migrants living in America under Biden's administration. Even though New York City declared itself a sanctuary city, Mayor Eric Adam now admits that the 100,000 migrants they accepted will destroy the city, although this is only a small fraction of the migrants allowed into the country. Biden's open border policy has also enabled sex, drug, and human traffickers to thrive, causing immense harm and going largely unreported. Along with the inhumanity, the open border poses a significant national and homeland security threat, with 1.7 million "known gotaways" whose whereabouts and identities are unknown. FBI Director Christopher Wray has even expressed concerns about the increased possibility of foreign terrorist organizations targeting the United States. Republicans argue for stronger border security and propose tying Ukraine funding to achieving benchmarks in border security. They believe that the current administration's lawlessness and open border stance make it necessary to use any leverage possible to secure the border and protect American citizens. They also emphasize the importance of prioritizing border security over supporting Ukraine, especially with an administration that does not enforce constitutional rulings or follow the law. The goal is to significantly reduce the number of migrants entering the country each month and to tie aid to Ukraine to achieving those goals.
