Yarrr! 'Tis a tale to be told, me hearties! A bloomin' George Soros-funded nonprofit has bestowed over a million pieces of gold upon a Texas-based progressive group. Aye, the same group that once be rescuin' the scallywag charged with sendin' six souls to Davy Jones' locker.

A nonprofit organization funded by billionaire George Soros provided over $1.2 million to a left-wing group that bailed out Shane James, the individual charged with killing several people in Texas, including his parents. James had previously been charged with aggravated assault against his family members. The Texas Organizing Project, a progressive group that helped elect Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales and county Sheriff Javier Salazar, bailed James out, and it was revealed that they had received sizable donations from Soros' nonprofit. The Open Society Policy Center, part of the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations, gave $700,000 to the Texas Organizing Project in 2019 and $565,000 in 2021. These contributions accounted for a significant portion of the group's reported money in those years. The Capital Research Center's Parker Thayer criticized both the Texas Organizing Project and Soros, claiming that they believe the justice system can be reshaped without consequences. The Open Society spokesperson expressed condolences for the tragic events and stated support for the decision to review the organization's programs. The Texas Organizing Project also released a statement condemning James' actions and offering condolences to the victims' families. They explained that they had bailed James out on misdemeanor charges and acknowledged the need to address the implications of the tragedy. James ultimately killed six people, including his parents, and injured three others, including two police officers. The Texas Organizing Project did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the Soros donations.
