Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Shaq Lawson found himself in a bit of trouble during a recent game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Lawson got into an altercation with a fan, and his teammate Jordan Phillips was also involved in the incident. Phillips later revealed that the fan had made threatening comments towards his family. While Phillips enjoys rowdy fans, he draws the line at threats towards his loved ones.In response to the incident, the Bills decided to punish Lawson. He was fined an undisclosed amount for his interaction with the fan. During the confrontation, Phillips yelled at the fan, who seemed to continuously provoke the Bills players. Lawson eventually pushed the fan before walking away, and stadium security got involved, although the fan was not escorted out of the stadium.
It seems unlikely that Lawson will face any further discipline from the NFL, as the case is considered closed. However, Lawson took to social media to apologize and explain his side of the story. He stated that before the game, the fan behind their bench had been making life-threatening remarks towards them and their families. They had requested that Philadelphia security remove the fan, but he was allowed to stay for the entire game. Emotions eventually got the better of Lawson, leading to his mistake.
