Arr, with all th' signs pointin' to Hamas scoundrels ravagin' 'n plunderin' innocent Israelites, th' U.N., in its infinite wisdom, be sendin' a motley crew t' investigate these vile acts upon fair Jewish lasses. Aye, controversy be brewin' in these treacherous waters!

The U.N.'s Commission of Inquiry (COI) tasked with investigating Hamas' crimes of rape and sexual abuse of Israelis has been labeled as "antisemitic" by Israel's ambassador to the U.N., Gilad Erdan. He argued that the commission, established by the distorted Human Rights Council, is biased against Israel and cannot conduct a fair probe. Erdan criticized the commissioners for denying Israel's right to be a U.N. member, undermining the definition of antisemitism, and supporting the boycott of Israel. Anne Bayefsky, director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, echoed this sentiment, stating that the COI will not investigate anything about Israel fairly due to their bias. The COI was established based on a 2021 resolution from the U.N. Human Rights Council, which is known for its alleged bias against Israel. Bayefsky accused the COI's chairwoman, Navi Pillay, and other committee members of promoting antisemitism. The COI has faced criticism for its alleged antisemitism and its refusal to condemn Hamas' sexual violence against Jewish women and girls. While the U.S. and EU have designated Hamas as a terrorist organization, the U.N. has not. Israel's ambassador, Erdan, called on U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres to resign after he reportedly blamed the Jewish victims of the Hamas massacre. The U.N.'s special representative on sexual violence in conflict expressed concern about emerging reports of sexual violence against civilians held in Hamas captivity and called for investigations into all allegations of sexual violence. Israeli women are outraged by the U.N.'s treatment of the issue and feel that their voices are being ignored. The U.S. State Department did not respond to queries about the issue.
