Avast, me hearties! Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley be showin' their true pirate spirit this yuletide! They be openin' a fine Toy Store for a couple o' days, where scurvy families in dire need can pick their own booty for the little ones!

Country music star Brad Paisley and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley founded The Store in 2020 as a way to help families in need by allowing them to pick out their groceries in a store-like setting. This holiday season, The Store hosted a two-day free Toy Store event where select families could shop for Christmas gifts for their children. The event included a variety of gifts such as toys, video games, clothes, and more. Paisley expressed the emotional impact of being able to give children something they truly wanted, relieving the stress for families who may not have thought they could afford it.

Volunteers and staff from Belmont University, Paisley's alma mater, worked alongside The Store to organize the event. The event featured a wrapping station and holiday decorations, and parents had the option to drop their kids off at a nearby church while they shopped and wrapped gifts.

The idea for The Store was inspired by Paisley and his wife's visit to Unity Shoppe in Santa Barbara, California. They wanted to create a similar concept in Nashville, focusing on providing dignity and choice to families in need. The Store operates on a referral basis and serves over 350 families each month.

Paisley has held fundraising events in the past to support The Store, including a sold-out benefit show called "Groceries with Dignity & Comedy Without." Additionally, Paisley has raised money and awareness for other causes close to his heart, such as his ambassadorship for UNITED24 in Ukraine.

Overall, Paisley and his wife's goal with The Store is to create a safe and welcoming community for everyone, whether they are volunteers or in need of the services provided. They are grateful for the support of their staff, volunteers, and new CEO Collen Mayer in making their vision a reality.
