GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley criticized her opponent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, for campaigning with Rep. Thomas Massie in Iowa. Massie has recently voted against bills in support of Israel and has aligned himself with the far-left "Squad" on certain issues. Haley accused DeSantis of bringing in "the most anti-Israel Republican" to Iowa and called on him to answer for Massie's positions. Massie, however, describes himself as a supporter of Israel and has opposed legislation that he believes equates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. He has also voted against a resolution condemning antisemitism on college campuses, citing concerns over free speech. DeSantis responded by stating that he disagrees with Massie on foreign relations issues and referred to him as an "isolationist." Haley's criticism may be an attempt to distract from her own record, according to DeSantis' campaign press secretary. He highlighted DeSantis' support for Israel and his efforts to bring Americans home from Israel during the Biden administration. Massie's office has not yet commented on the matter.
