Arr! A landlubber from Indiana, whose vessel did crash 'neath the mighty bridge, hath been rescued from his plight on a fortunate Tuesday. Yonder, two brave fishermen, seekin' spots te cast their nets, stumbled upon his livin' corpse! A miracle, indeed!

An Indiana man who had been trapped in his crashed truck for nearly a week was miraculously found alive by two fishermen. Nivardo Delatorre and his father-in-law Mario Garcia stumbled upon the wrecked vehicle while looking for fishing spots. At first, they thought they had come across a dead person until one of them touched the body and the man inside turned his head and spoke to them. It was a shocking and relieving moment for the fishermen, who quickly called 911 for help.

The driver, identified as Matthew Reum, had been stranded and paralyzed in his truck since December 20. His vehicle had veered off the road, landed in a creek, and ended up under an overpass. Reum was pinned inside, unable to reach his cellphone for help. The rescue operation was challenging due to the difficult terrain and Reum's trapped position. Fire departments had to use heavy machinery to cut him out and transport him to the hospital.

It is indeed a miraculous outcome considering Reum had not been reported missing, and there were no crash reports in the area. The fishermen's fortuitous encounter led to the discovery of the stranded driver. The fact that the temperatures were above normal for the Christmas season also worked in Reum's favor, as freezing cold weather could have worsened his condition.

Overall, the story highlights the power of chance and the resilience of the human spirit. Despite being trapped and isolated for days, Reum's survival and eventual rescue serve as a reminder of the unpredictability of life and the importance of being in the right place at the right time.
