The driver of the minivan, Rushil Barri, and five passengers lost their lives in the crash. Barri was described as a 28-year-old man from Irving, Texas, who was driving his cousin and other family members home from a wildlife park.The lone survivor in the minivan was Lokesh Potabathula, Barri's cousin. The fatalities included Potabathula's wife, children, and his wife's parents - all of whom had emigrated to the United States from India. The two 17-year-olds and Potabathula in the pickup truck were taken to Fort Worth hospitals in critical condition.
