2023-12-30

Arrr, 'tis a sad tale, me hearties! A wee lad and another soul be sent to Davy Jones' Locker in a fierce skirmish between Ukraine and Mother Russia. Rockets and flying contraptions be the weapons o' choice. A grim spectacle in these troubled waters, indeed!

In a recent series of events, Ukraine has reportedly launched rocket and drone attacks into Russian territories, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including a child. Russia claims to have shot down 13 rockets and 32 drones in response to the attacks. The child's death occurred in the Bryansk region, while another individual was killed in the Belgorod region. These regions are located in western Russia and share a border with Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry has stated that units in the Belgorod region successfully thwarted an attempted terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime, intercepting 13 rockets overnight. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that a man lost his life when a house was struck, with four others receiving treatment for their injuries. The city of Belgorod also experienced disruptions in its water supply, and ten private homes sustained damage. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, confirmed the death of a child in strikes on civilian objects in two villages. Additionally, the Russian military announced the destruction of a Ukrainian maritime drone that was moving towards the Crimean Peninsula. This attack follows Russia's own large-scale aerial assault on Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of at least 30 people. Russia fired 122 missiles and 36 drones, targeting six different cities, including Kyiv, the capital. In a separate incident, Ukraine launched cruise missiles at a Russian landing warship stationed in Crimea, killing one person. As tensions escalate between the two nations, the Biden administration has announced plans to send Ukraine the last batch of aid available as the US depletes its funds.
