Avast ye mateys! The scurvy dog who mends contraptions did hand o'er a laptop, owned by the scurvy president's spawn, to the officials. Yet the sneaky knave claims his humble abode was swooped upon by landlubbers! Arrr, what a tale!

In a humorous tone, the Delaware computer repairman, John Paul Mac Isaac, who gained attention for going public with the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop, claimed that his home was "swatted" on Friday night. Swatting is the act of making a false report to emergency services to prompt a response at a particular address, with the goal of getting authorities, especially a SWAT team, to show up. Although Mac Isaac was not at home during the incident, he praised the Wilmington PD for their quick and professional response. He also emphasized that the swatting attempt had achieved nothing and that he would not be deterred in his fight. The Wilmington Police Department has yet to provide information about the incident.

Swatting cases are not uncommon, with hundreds occurring annually. Some individuals even use caller ID spoofing to disguise their number. Notable victims of swatting include Senator Rick Scott, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, and Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows. The FBI has established a national database in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to track swatting incidents nationwide. The surge in fake claims about active shooters at schools and colleges has been a concern for law enforcement for months. Additionally, there have been numerous reports of swatting incidents and bomb threats targeting Jewish institutions since the Israel-Hamas war began.

Mac Isaac, who filed a defamation lawsuit against Hunter Biden in October 2022, alleges that Biden abandoned three laptops at his store in 2019. Unable to contact the customer, Mac Isaac claims to have searched through the emails by keyword in June or July 2019. Biden filed a counterclaim in March, accusing Mac Isaac of privacy violations and illicitly distributing his personal data. Swatting suspects are being arrested and charged, and states are considering stronger penalties for such actions.
