Arrr, the cap'n Biden be spoutin' his 2024 New Year's vow, claimin' he be returnin' next year! Whilst enjoyin' a jolly holiday in St. Croix, the scallywag be gearin' up fer another election year, aye!

President Biden's New Year's resolution for 2024 is to "come back next year," according to The New York Times. While vacationing in St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden dined at a restaurant where the president revealed his resolution. The couple also attended a mass and taped an interview with Ryan Seacrest, which will air during ABC's broadcast of "Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest."

When asked if he had any other resolutions, Biden replied, "That’s the biggest one right now, to come back next year." During the "State of the Union" on CNN, former Biden communications director Kate Bedingfield responded humorously, saying, "We love a New Year's resolution we can keep." She acknowledged that the upcoming election would be challenging but expressed confidence in the Biden campaign's ability to navigate it successfully.

CNN political analyst Scott Jennings, however, expressed skepticism about Biden's chances, stating, "The president is not looking too good in the barn." Recent polls have shown Biden trailing Donald Trump in key swing states and hypothetical general election matchups. A Wall Street Journal poll found that Trump was ahead of Biden in a hypothetical general election with just the two candidates on the ballot. Trump also came out ahead in a hypothetical matchup that included five independent candidates.

Meanwhile, Republicans criticized Biden for vacationing in the Caribbean while the southern border crisis continued. Despite this criticism and the challenges ahead, Biden remains determined to "come back next year" and continue his presidency.
