Arrr! The State Department be givin' a stern scolding to them far-right Israeli scallywags, Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir, who be blabberin' about sendin' the poor Palestinians away from Gaza. Avast, they be needin' to walk the plank for such foolish talk!

Two Israeli far-right ministers, Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir, have faced criticism from the U.S. State Department for their remarks on the future of Gaza after the war against Hamas ends. The ministers proposed the voluntary resettlement of Palestinians outside of the Gaza Strip. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller called their rhetoric inflammatory and irresponsible, emphasizing that it does not reflect the policy of the Israeli government.

Smotrich, the current Israeli finance minister, and Ben Gvir, the national security minister, have advocated for Israel to maintain control over Gaza and for the voluntary migration of a large portion of the Palestinian population living there. Smotrich has suggested that reducing the Arab population in Gaza would change the conversation about the region's future. He also stated that Israel will permanently control the territory and cannot allow it to be a "hothouse" of people who want to destroy the state.

Despite the backlash, Smotrich reiterated that Palestinians living in Gaza have a desire to destroy Israel. Ben Gvir also supported encouraging migration from Gaza and emphasized the importance of Jewish settlements in the region.

The ministers' comments have been condemned by Arab Israeli lawmaker MK Ahmad Tibi, who likened their remarks to Nazi calls for "living space" and accused them of inciting genocide. Tibi predicted that the ministers would face an international tribunal for war crimes in the future.

The United States has made it clear that it rejects the ministers' statements and urges them to stop immediately. They emphasize the importance of finding a future that benefits both Israelis and Palestinians, as well as the surrounding region and the world.
