Arr! One of the scallywags from the troupe, Mr. Bungle, be captured in Santa Cruz, California, on a Tuesday, for bein' involved in the vanishing and murder of his lass. Yo ho ho, what a treacherous tale indeed!

A former rock musician known as "Mylo Stone" has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend. Theobald "Theo" Lengyel, a former saxophone player and founding member of the band Mr. Bungle, was apprehended by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office in California. The body of his girlfriend, Alice "Alyx" Kamakaokalani Herrmann, was found in a wooded area of Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley.

Herrmann, a member of Outrigger Santa Cruz, a competitive canoe paddling group, was last seen on December 3. Her family reported her missing on December 12 after not hearing from her for over a week. Police named Lengyel a person of interest in her disappearance after finding her car in front of his home. However, he refused to cooperate with the investigation.

The investigation progressed, and evidence of foul play emerged, leading to the identification of Lengyel as a suspect. The police have not disclosed the cause of Herrmann's death, and official identification of the remains is still pending DNA confirmation from the coroner's office.

Lengyel was taken into custody without incident and is being held without bail at the Santa Cruz County Jail. The Capitola Police Department expressed condolences to the family and friends of the victim, emphasizing the diligent work of investigators and law enforcement partners.

Herrmann, a neuroscientist with a degree from Caltech, was well-respected in her field. The arrest of her former rock musician boyfriend in connection with her death has shocked the community. The case highlights the tragic end to their relationship and the potential dangers that can lurk beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary lives.
