Avast, me hearties! A scallywag from Alabama be facin' charges, as he be steerin' his vessel into a pole outside a Bass Pro Shop in Leeds. With naught but his birthday suit, he dashed into the store, plungin' into th' aquarium, much to the dismay of the coppers!
A hilarious incident occurred at a Bass Pro Shop in Leeds, Alabama when a man, who was later discovered to suffer from mental illness, acted erratically and crashed his vehicle into a pole in the store's parking lot. Following the crash, the man stripped off his clothes and ran into the store, eventually diving naked into the aquarium. Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin reveals that officers were called to remove the man from the fish tank, but he refused to cooperate and became belligerent. A bystander recorded a video of the officers attempting to communicate with the man, who yelled at them before diving back into the water. Eventually, the man climbed out of the tank, fell to the floor, and was knocked unconscious. Officers handcuffed him, but he woke up and assaulted one of the officers with a kick. The man was eventually covered with a blanket and escorted out of the store. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and later booked into jail. Jail records show that George Owens, 42, of Sterrett, Alabama, will face charges including public lewdness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, second-degree assault, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment. Despite the bizarre nature of the incident, it is expected that Owens will be released on bond. This story serves as a reminder that sometimes reality can be stranger than fiction, and that even in 17th-century pirate language, one might struggle to find the words to describe such an outrageous event.
