Avast, ye scurvy dogs! In the land of New York, a father and his two spawn have been accused o' causin' a mighty crash on the Sunrise Highway. 'Twas a brawl o' road rage, I tell ye, which sent their own kin to the hospital! Arrr, what a tale!

A New York man and his two sons have been indicted for engaging in a brawl with their own cousins in broad daylight. The altercation involved wooden sticks, a flipped vehicle, and blocked traffic, and much of it was captured on video. The feud began when Patrick J. O'Connor, 38, allegedly threatened his cousin with a beer bottle in a restaurant. Three days later, O'Connor and his cousin encountered each other on a road in Hauppauge. The cousin, along with his father, followed O'Connor in a Ford F150. The chase lasted for about 20 miles until they reached Lindenhurst, where O'Connor's 19-year-old son, James, allegedly joined the fight. James O'Connor reportedly rammed his SUV into his relative's truck and flipped his own vehicle in front of a bank. Fortunately, no children inside the vehicle were harmed. Video footage released by the police shows Patrick O'Connor striking his cousin in the head with a wooden stick. James and another younger brother also participated in the assault. The victims sustained injuries, including black eyes, cuts, and a need for staples in the head. The O'Connors fled the scene but were later arrested by the police. All three defendants are being held on bail. James O'Connor is facing charges of assault, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, and leaving the scene of a traffic accident. Patrick O'Connor and his minor son are also facing assault charges. District Attorney Ray Tierney expressed relief that the incident did not result in more serious injuries or casualties.
