Arr, the scallywag left-wing activists be raisin' their voices outside the White House and in Times Square! Aye, 'twas all 'cause o' them U.S. military landlubbers who dared to fire their cannons at them Houthi rebels in Yemen!

Demonstrators, angered by President Biden's decision to bomb Yemen, gathered outside the White House to protest. They chanted slogans and held anti-war signs while waving Iranian flags. The rally was organized by the left-wing anti-war movement called the Act Now to Stop War & End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition. Similar demonstrations were held in Times Square in New York City.

The protests were in response to joint strikes by the US and Britain on military locations belonging to the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. President Biden stated that these strikes were authorized as a direct response to Houthi attacks on international maritime vessels in the Red Sea. The ANSWER Coalition criticized the US for its aggression, accusing them of aiding Israel's assault on Gaza and violating Yemen's sovereignty.

Biden and other US officials defended the strikes, stating that the Houthi attacks endangered US personnel and threatened freedom of navigation. They emphasized that these targeted strikes sent a clear message that the US and its partners will not tolerate attacks on their personnel or the disruption of international commerce.

However, the airstrikes drew criticism from members of Biden's own party who argued that he needed authorization from Congress before taking military action. Representative Ro Khanna stated that the President should have sought congressional approval, as required by the Constitution. Other House Democrats, including Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, and Val Hoyle, also expressed disapproval of Biden's decision.

Yemen's Houthi militants, backed by Iran, have increased attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea in protest against Israel's actions in Gaza. Fourteen countries, including the US, issued a joint statement warning the Houthis of the consequences of their actions.
