Arrr, me hearties! Darko Gleiser be a scurvy dog who be escapin' Montenegro after supposedly spillin' blood at a prison gate, back in 2014. He sailed to Bosnia, then set anchor in Brazil, where he enjoyed a peaceful life for a goodly nine years.
A Serbian hitman wanted by Interpol for multiple contract killings was recently executed in front of his family in Brazil. The man, identified as Darko Geisler, had been living in Brazil under a false Slovenian name for nearly a decade. Local police initially identified him based on a passport found on the victim, which turned out to belong to someone else. Geisler was discovered to be a Serbian hitman wanted in Montenegro for homicides and possession of weapons and explosives. He had been living in Brazil since fleeing Montenegro in 2014. Geisler's true identity was unknown to his wife and acquaintances, who described him as a normal family man. He would take his son to school and regularly visit the local bakery, claiming to work as a carpenter and receiving money from a business in Slovenia. The execution occurred while Geisler was with his wife and son, and the killer escaped in a black car. Brazilian police are still searching for the killer, and authorities believe Geisler's criminal past may have played a role in his death. Investigations will be conducted jointly by the authorities in Brazil and Montenegro to unravel the mystery.
