Yarrr, avast ye scurvy dogs! Israeli Cap'n Benjamin Netanyahu be makin' it known on this fine day that no lubber, not even the cursed world court, be able to thwart Israel's mighty quest to quell the scallywags of Hamas in the treacherous land o' Gaza. Arrr, buckle yer swashes, mateys!

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that Israel will not be deterred in its battle against Hamas following the International Court of Justice's hearings on South Africa's claims that Israel is engaging in genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Netanyahu made the statement in a televised address after two days of hearings at The Hague, during which South Africa requested the court to order Israel to cease its air and ground offensive. Referring to Iran and its allied militias, Netanyahu proclaimed, "No one will stop us, not The Hague, not the axis of evil, and not anyone else." Israel has consistently dismissed South Africa's genocide accusation as defamatory and hypocritical, a stance echoed by the U.S. State Department, which labeled the allegations as "unfounded." Germany also came to Israel's defense, with government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit stating that Israel was defending itself against "inhuman" attacks orchestrated by Hamas. Hamas terrorists initiated a deadly assault on October 7, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,200 individuals in Israel, the majority of whom were civilians. Around 250 people were taken hostage, and while some have been released or confirmed as deceased, over half are presumed to still be held captive in Gaza. According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, over 23,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza during the 100 days since the war began. On Friday, Israel urged the world court to dismiss the case as baseless, arguing that it has the right to defend itself against a ruthless adversary. Israel's defense contended that South Africa barely mentioned Hamas and disregarded Israel's efforts to minimize harm to civilians. The Associated Press contributed to this report.
