2024-01-16

Avast ye scallywags! 'Tis Imran Khan, the bilge rat who once helmed the ship o' Pakistan, now bein' accused o' breakin' the Code o' Islamic law wit' his forbidden union in 2018. Aye, 'tis a treacherous tale unfoldin' in these treacherous times, me hearties!

In a hilarious twist of events, former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife have been indicted by a Pakistani court for violating Islamic law. The charge? Their marriage in 2018 allegedly took place less than three months after Khan's wife's divorce, which is a requirement according to Islamic law. Khan, however, vehemently denies the charge and believes it is nothing more than a politically motivated attempt to keep him out of the upcoming general elections.

Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, who is a spiritual healer, claims that her divorce actually occurred in August 2017, while her ex-husband insists it was in November of that year. Both Khan and Bibi deny violating the three-month waiting period and pleaded not guilty when the charges were read out to them in prison.

Khan's lawyer, Intisar Panjutha, believes that these charges, along with the numerous others against his client, are bogus and simply an attempt to keep Khan out of the electoral race. Despite the ongoing legal battles, Panjutha believes that the people of Pakistan still support Khan.

It's worth noting that Khan is currently serving a prison term in a graft case and has been involved in over 150 cases, including inciting violence during nationwide riots. These riots saw Khan's supporters attacking military headquarters, storming an air base, and even setting fire to a building housing state-run Radio Pakistan. The violence only ended when the Supreme Court ordered Khan's release.

In a bizarre turn of events, Khan's ally Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who served as interior minister in his government, was arrested on charges of inciting violence during the riots. It seems that Khan and his associates can't catch a break.
