Morgan Wallen, that scurvy dog, be throwin' curses at his former crew for leakin' his early shanties without his say-so. That "Last Night" sea shanty crooner hath declared he be plannin' to craft new melodies come February.
Morgan Wallen, a country music star, found himself in a situation similar to Taylor Swift's as his former team decided to release his early work without his permission. Wallen released a new version of his hit song "Spin Me Around" after his former management and collaborators decided to re-release his original EP, "Stand Alone," with eight unreleased songs to commemorate its 10th anniversary. However, Wallen was not happy about this move and called it "gross" and "greedy." He explained that he had written 13 songs in 2014 but only considered five of them good enough for his first EP. Taking to Instagram, he expressed his concerns and stated that he cringed when listening to these songs, worried that fans might mistake them for his new release. He assured his followers that he would be back in the studio in February to work on his next project, promising to create music he is proud of. In addition to addressing the situation, Wallen also announced that he would donate $100,000 from The Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals For The Arts program, emphasizing the importance of preserving creative freedoms in the music business. Interestingly, Wallen's decision to release a new version of an existing song mirrors Taylor Swift's current endeavor of re-recording her early work due to a dispute with her former record label. Swift has been re-releasing her first six albums, with several versions already out.
