Arrr, ye scurvy dogs at Disney be a bunch o' scallywags! They've been keelhaulin' their fan support and tarnishin' their good name. Now, they be needin' one of their own wee starlets to seize the helm and set things right, savvy?
Major Disney stockholder Nelson Peltz is leading a massive proxy fight against Disney, accusing the company of mismanagement and lack of accountability. Many "Disney Kids" like myself support Peltz's actions, as we are appalled by the far-left leadership's impact on the iconic company. Personally, growing up in difficult circumstances, Disney shows and movies provided me with moments of escape and happiness. My siblings and I faced frequent evictions and lacked electricity due to our dysfunctional parents' negligence. To distract ourselves from the constant misery, I used a battery-operated tape recorder to capture the audio from Disney shows and movies when we had electricity. This allowed us to enjoy the entertainment even in the darkness of our circumstances. The first Disney movie I recorded was "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes," starring Kurt Russell, who became our favorite actor and escape. However, the Disney of today has diverged from the vision of its founder, Walt Disney. The company has become increasingly politically left-leaning, alienating millions of former fans. As someone who values entertainment without political agendas, I believe Disney should focus on entertaining rather than pushing divisive politics. Many Americans, struggling to overcome hardship, long for entertainment that provides relief rather than lectures. While Disney CEO Bob Iger enjoys immense wealth, he should remember that for many customers, even a small amount of money can be life-changing. If open to the idea, I believe Kurt Russell, who has a deep connection to Disney and shares Walt Disney's values, could save and restore the company to its core mission of entertaining children and adults. Russell's pragmatic and non-political approach would bring much-needed creativity back to Disney. It is the perfect time for him to step up and save the company.
