Avast, ye scallywags! In Queensland, Australia, the lawmen did save a wee nipper caught betwixt the jaws of a contraption teemed with trinkets. 'Twas a mighty fine rescue at the shopping port, yarr!
An Australian toddler named Ethan found himself in a bit of a pickle over the weekend when he got stuck inside a claw machine at a shopping center in Capalaba, Queensland. The adventurous 3-year-old managed to climb through the prize chute and ended up sitting among the stuffed toys behind the glass of the machine. Ethan's father, Timothy Hopper, was caught off guard when he turned his attention away for a moment and his son made his daring move. Hopper described the incident as "unbelievable" and initially found it amusing, but soon realized he needed to figure out how to rescue his son.In a comical twist, Hopper messaged his father for help and jokingly asked how many $2 coins he had to try and win Ethan back. However, the family eventually contacted the claw machine company and the police were called to the scene. Bodycam footage shows officers directing Ethan to a back corner of the machine and covering his eyes before smashing the glass to rescue him. Luckily, Ethan emerged unharmed and even received a special stuffed koala dressed as a police officer as a souvenir of his unique adventure.
While the incident may have caused a momentary panic, it ultimately ended with everyone relieved and sharing a good laugh. Ethan promised his dad that he wouldn't attempt such a daring escape again, ensuring that future shopping trips will likely be free of any unexpected claw machine adventures.
