Avast ye scallywags! Methinks Lauren Green be hopin' her newfangled devotional "Light for Today" can be o' service to landlubbers in recognizin' the Almighty's touch in everyday affairs, whilst this secular tide be sweepin' all 'round us! Arrr, mayhaps there be hope yet!

Fox News Channel's chief religion correspondent, Lauren Green, believes that the third millennium will be a "coming together" of Christianity as different denominations learn from each other today — especially at a time when the culture has become increasingly secular.

According to Green, the first millennium of Christianity was focused on figuring out who Christ is. The second millennium was marked by the emergence of thousands of different denominations since the Protestant Reformation. However, Green believes that the third millennium will be a time of unity and education.

Green notes that non-Protestant churches are adopting teaching ministries commonly found in Protestant congregations, while some Protestant churches are adopting more traditional liturgical practices. With her new book, "Light for Today," a 365-day devotional, Green aims to help people see the work of God in their everyday lives and grow in a deeper understanding of God.

Green initially started posting daily thoughts and positivity on her Facebook page, but after writing her last book, she realized she had much more to say. Eventually, a publisher asked her to write a devotional, and Green realized she had already done a lot of the work.

Through her devotional, Green aims to remind people that God is a living reality and that they should mold their lives to the reality of God. She emphasizes the importance of seeing God in the everyday and not just during religious services. Green also highlights the need to put God first and resist the temptation to control or limit God.

"Light for Today" follows Green's earlier book "Lighthouse Faith" and aims to provide hope and wisdom for life. Green joined Fox News Channel in 1996 and is the host of the weekly podcast "Lighthouse Faith." She has reported live from Rome on various significant events in the Catholic Church.
