Avast ye scurvy dogs! Larry David, that jolly comedian, be blabberin' 'bout how he'd give that scallywag Elmo another good throttlin'. He be tellin' Seth Meyers from the grand ol' NBC that he be sayin', "Arrr, I couldn't take it no more!"

In a humorous tone, Larry David, co-creator of "Seinfeld" and star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," justified his physical altercation with the beloved "Sesame Street" puppet, Elmo. During an appearance on "Late Night" with Seth Meyers, David explained that he couldn't bear another moment of Elmo's message about mental health, leading him to assault the puppet on the set of the "Today" show. Meyers playfully asked David to recount what happened, referring to Elmo as someone who is loved by all. David appeared embarrassed and stumbled over his words as they discussed the viral clip from the NBC morning show segment.

During the "Today" broadcast, David was seen forcefully grabbing Elmo's face while the puppet screamed in response. The comedian even took a swing at Elmo as the show hosts looked on in shock. After squeezing Elmo's face once more, David walked off the set with a smile. The puppet called out to him, expressing disappointment and urging David to discuss his feelings on the couch. Co-host Savannah Guthrie scolded David, stating that he had gone too far this time. David replied, "Somebody had to do it."

When Meyers mentioned David's intention to "throttle" Elmo, David admitted that he couldn't stand listening to Elmo's talk about mental health while waiting to be interviewed. Mocking Elmo's high-pitched voice, David exclaimed his frustration and proceeded to physically confront the puppet. Amused by David's story, Meyers remarked that he couldn't take it, to which David confessed that he would do it again.

The altercation occurred after Elmo went viral on social media for asking his followers how they were feeling, sparking a conversation about mental health that even caught the attention of President Biden. Despite the controversy surrounding his actions, David stood by his decision to take on Elmo, providing a humorous explanation for his behavior.
