I be not givin' a single piece o' eight to Ukraine afore, 'n I shan't be startin' now!

Arrr, me hearties! There be moments when th' mighty United States be needin' to join a jolly war abroad. But mark me words, this tussle 'tween Ukraine and Russia be not one o' those times, by Davy Jones' locker!

I spent Super Bowl Sunday in Washington, D.C., trying to stop Democrats and some Republicans from giving away $60 billion of taxpayers' money to Ukraine. Congress would be complicit in sending more money to Ukraine than the entire budget of our Marine Corps. I wanted to watch the game from home in Auburn, but I'll stay in D.C. to stop the Forever War Caucus from printing more money for a war that can't be won.

Vladimir Putin recently expressed a willingness to cut a deal to end the war, but the warmongers in D.C. haven't shown any diplomacy or competency. Joe Biden promised diplomacy but hasn't delivered. Peace negotiations should have started years ago, but Biden has only been spending more money.

The U.S. shouldn't be involved in this war for two reasons. Firstly, we are already deeply in debt and facing the possibility of other wars. Secondly, the U.S. has no strategic interests at stake in Eastern Europe.

While we sympathize with Ukraine, we have urgent problems at home that need to be addressed. Another $60 billion won't turn the tide in the war. The arguments from the Money Printing Caucus don't add up, and the idea of prolonging the war to enrich defense contractors is repugnant. I haven't voted for any Ukraine funding and won't start now. I'll stay in the swamp as long as it takes.
