Arr, 'tis told in a tale, me hearties, that a scurvy dog of a security guard aboard a fine Norwegian Cruise Line vessel did seize a lass and commit a grievous crime upon her virtue! Aye, the lass be now seekin' justice through a lawsuit, may she find it swift!

A woman identified as Jane Doe has filed a federal lawsuit against Norwegian Cruise Line, alleging that she was sexually assaulted by a large security guard while aboard one of their ships. The incident reportedly occurred on July 3, 2023, after the woman became intoxicated and disoriented while trying to find her room. The lawsuit claims that the security guard, identified as John Roe, pretended to help her but instead forced her into a different cabin and overpowered her. He allegedly touched her body, forced a kiss on her, and made her kneel against her will. Almighty Protection Services, the company that employed the security guard, is also named in the lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit, Almighty Protection Services knew about the incident by July 5, 2023, but failed to take any action. The survivor reported the incident to boat police the next day and also filed a report with police in Oakland, where she lived. The lawsuit seeks $75,000 in damages.

The lawsuit also names DJ Khaled, who promoted the cruise line's event, as a defendant for negligence and negligent hiring. However, his lawyers have filed motions to dismiss the case, arguing that there are no plausible claims against him.

Both Norwegian Cruise Line and Almighty Protection Services have also filed motions to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming that the accusations are vague and immaterial to the specific accusations. The legal battle over the dismissal of the case is ongoing.

The survivor continues to suffer from lasting mental issues, including depression, anxiety, and panic attacks, as a result of the alleged assault.
