Avast ye scurvy dogs! Keep the land lubbers at bay to avoid the Californication of our fair shores! Arrr!

Arrr, mateys! "California, here we come" be a dreaded cry now! Two traitorous propositions be pass'd, makin' it a land o' lawlessness and soft punishments. Avast! The Golden State be losin' its shine for those across the seas.
Arr, me heart breaks fer Emma Rivas, a mother whose son was slain by a scurvy gang member in Los Angeles. She be rightly angry at the lack of justice from the likes of District Attorney George Gascon, who be shirking his duty to prosecute them bilge rats and protect the innocent.Last year, a poor merchant in Los Angeles County told me his store be plundered four times, with naught being done by the constables. The Sheriff's deputies be stretched thin and hindered by soft laws, leaving the law-abiding citizens vulnerable to the scourge of crime.Gascon be supporting laws like the zero-bail policy and Propositions 47 and 57, which be letting criminals roam free and turning serious crimes into mere misdemeanors. This be a crisis that demands immediate action before it spreads beyond California. It be clear that the laws need to be changed to support law enforcement and hold criminals accountable, as me Sgt. Steve Owen Defending Our Defenders Act aims to do. We need to learn from California's mistakes and respect the law and those who enforce it to keep our communities safe.As Ronald Reagan wisely said, "Without respect for the law, the best laws cannot be effective." We must stand with our brave men and women in blue, support common-sense policies, and ensure America doesn't become a haven for criminals like California has become.
