Arrr mateys! The scurvy dogs from the U.S. Army be sailin' from Virginia to Gaza, lookin' to help them poor landlubbers in need. Mayhaps they can share some booty with the Palestinians as Israel battles them pesky Hamas varmints. Yo ho ho!

Avast ye landlubbers! Four U.S. Army boats, laden with tons of gear and steel pier pieces, set sail from Virginia on Tuesday, bound for Gaza in a bid to aid the starving Palestinians amidst Israel's ongoing scuffle with Hamas. The vessels departed Joint Base Langley-Eustis, navigating the James River towards the vast Atlantic in a potentially month-long voyage to the Mediterranean. There, a floating dock will be erected to receive the much-needed aid.Following Hamas' assault on Israel, the region has been ravaged, with over 30,000 Palestinians perishing, leading to a dire humanitarian crisis. The UN reports that nearly all 2.3 million inhabitants of Gaza are grappling with severe food shortages. However, delivering aid has been arduous due to ongoing conflicts and Israeli obstructions. The Pentagon's scheme involves constructing a modular causeway system where ships can unload containers onto a mammoth floating platform. The aid will then be transported ashore via a steel causeway, expected to be 1,800 feet long with two lanes, capable of delivering over 2 million meals daily. President Biden has affirmed no U.S. troops will land in Gaza.Under the watchful eyes of loved ones and senior Army figures, 70 soldiers aboard the Army vessels embarked on this complex mission. Army Col. Sam Miller disclosed that around 500 soldiers from the 7th Transportation Brigade will partake in the endeavor. The transit is anticipated to last a month, with construction and delivery coordination following suit. Though a challenging feat, this mission showcases the Army's maritime prowess in a noble cause.
